Healing Is Not a Solo Assignment

Healing Is Not a Solo Assignment

I want to take a moment to offer clarity on something I shared in Day One.

When I spoke about healing requiring therapeutic relationships, I was not speaking exclusively about traditional therapy, especially for those who may not have access to it.

Healing often takes place in God-ordained spaces such as a community of like-minded believers, pastoral care, or safe and trusted relationships the Lord places in your life, particularly when you have walked through deep levels of trauma. The key is not the title of the relationship, but the presence of safety, wisdom, and the Holy Spirit.

Healing was never meant to be a solo process.

At the same time, wisdom matters in who we invite into our healing. It is important not to seek counsel only from those who share the same broken perceptions or unresolved wounds. God often brings people into our lives who can offer a different perspective, one that is grounded, discerning, and shaped by truth rather than unhealed pain.

When we attempt to self-counsel, it can become a closed loop. It is like throwing a ball against a wall and having it come straight back to you. The same thoughts, interpretations, and conclusions return unchanged. Without outside insight, cycles go unchallenged and blind spots remain unseen.

God often uses other people to help us see what we cannot see alone. Someone outside of you, who carries the Holy Spirit, can help identify patterns, confront lies, and speak truth into areas where healing is still needed. That kind of discernment brings clarity, accountability, and restoration.

This is why we heal in community. God designed it that way.

And now, back to our regularly scheduled programming. 😂
See you tomorrow for Lesson Three of 2025🤍
